TDA7294 BTL power amplifier 2x 150W. The TDA7294 is a single-chip integrated circuit housed in a Multiwatt15 package, designed for use as an audio class AB amplifier in high-fidelity applications such as home stereo systems, self-powered loudspeakers, and top-tier televisions. Its wide voltage range and high current output allow it to deliver maximum power to both 4 ohms and 8 ohms loads, even when the power supply regulation is subpar, while also providing excellent rejection of high supply voltages. The integrated muting function with a delayed turn-on feature simplifies remote operation and eliminates any switching on-off noise.
Using a ±25v power supply can output up to 100w×2 THD approximately 0.1 at 8Ω (refer to the datasheet). Using a ±35v power supply may achieve higher power and lower THD, up to 150w×2. It is recommended to use a power supply of ±25v to ±30v (I personally use ±30v). It is suggested to use an AC dual 25v or 24v transformer. After rectification, the power will be approximately ±35v with a power of 300W. At least two 10000uf capacitors are needed for rectification (one for positive and one for negative) to ensure voltage ripple during high dynamic range.
